Jennifer Wright began her dancing career over 30 years ago at UC Davis with Nexus Modern Dance Collective under artistic director, Althea Short. In 1985, shortly after her arrival in the Bay Area, Jennifer joined Company Chaddick as one of its original company members. Many successful seasons later she joined Dance Continuum SF with some of her original Company Chaddick performers. She has appeared in works by Huckabay McAllister Dance and EmSpace. More recently she has taken up the challenge of hip hop and can be seen attempting to look cool in various hip hop classes. She also trained with yoga instructor, Rod Yee, and taught at his studio for 10 years. When not dancing or at work, Jennifer can be seen in a sheriff's uniform volunteering for Contra Costa County's Search and Rescue Team. Just this year, after more than 5,000 hours of training and testing, she and her border collie, Shannon, are now mission ready and have participated in several searches for missing persons.
